Google Jamboard— Creativity that goes places

The Brief

Aruliden was approached by Google to help redesign creative collaboration through an interactive whiteboard suited for the global workplace. The result was a fun to use hardware solution that addressed the common challenges of shared office equipment that can safely move to locations with little effort.

User Experience

Using the hardware and accessories together feels as improvisational and loose as an analog brainstorming session, bolstered by connectivity.

Industrial Design

The industrial design language is a natural expression of Google’s fun and approachable brand.

Accessories

The proportions of the stylus, intended for broad strokes, feels like a marker used during impromptu collaborations at the whiteboard. The double duty eraser cleans the screen as you erase the writing.

User Experience

The user experience was designed to feel as familiar as possible, down to the habit of using your finger to erase. Because the display can detect different objects there isn’t a need for accessories to be powered.
